| The Army’s three Combat Training
Centers (CTCs) at Fort Irwin, CA, Fort Polk, LA and in Germany
all have the same mission and requirements for training. However,
all three CTCs have been implemented with different architectures,
different capabilities, different hardware and software. In
December 2002 LM STS was awarded the CTC OIS program to develop
a common system based on the CTIA architecture that would
allow all the CTCs to communicate with each other and be supported
with a common logistical base. The Army procurement agency
is PEO STRI. PEO STRI coordinates through the Combat Training
Center Directorate at Fort Leavenworth, KS and all three CTCs.
LM STS is the Lead System Integrator for the CTC OIS program. |
